T8151B

Overview

The T8151B Communication Interface connects Trusted systems, engineering workstations, and third-party equipment, minimizing communication load on the TMR processor.

Communication Ports

• Ethernet: Dual ports
• Serial Ports: Four accessible via the T8153 adapter
• Diagnostic Port: Accessible from the front faceplate

Installation

• Installed in any single-width slot of the controller or expander chassis
• Peer-to-peer communication supported only in the controller chassis

Modbus Support

• Modbus (RTU): 10 connections via Ethernet TCP/IP (default IP port 2000)
• Programming Toolset: 1 connection (fixed IP port 6000)
• Modicon Open Modbus TCP: Up to 10 connections on port 502

Power Supply

• Dual redundant +24V DC power from the chassis backplane

LED Indicators

• Healthy:
  • Steady green: Healthy module
  • Flashing red: Module failed
• Active:
  • Steady green: Active mode (application running, communications enabled)
• Standby:
  • Steady green: Standby mode (application stopped, communications disabled)
• Educated Configuration: Successfully loaded from Processor
• Communications:
  • Tri-colored LEDs indicate data transfer activity on all serial and Ethernet ports
  • Red: Transmitting data
  • Green: Receiving data
  • Amber: Transmitting and receiving
  • Green LED off: Good connection
  • Green LED on: No or bad connection
