Overview

ICC312 is an MTL Repeater Power Supply designed to provide reliable power and isolation for 4–20 mA field devices.

Input Channels

• Number of input channels: One (either terminals 7&8 or 8&9)

• Input channel (terminals 7 & 8): 2-wire transmitter supply, 4 to 20 mA

• Input channel (terminals 8 & 9): 4 to 20 mA current source

Output Channels

• Number of output channels: Two

• Input signal: 4 to 20 mA

• Isolation: 1500 V dc/ac between input, output 1, output 2, and power supply

Power Supply

• Voltage: 20 to 35 V dc

• Voltage available for transmitter: 20 V minimum at 20 mA

• Voltage drop across input from current source (terminals 8 & 9): 2.4 V maximum

Power Requirements

• Supplying a transmitter: 150 mA max at 20 V dc with 20 mA signal; 120 mA max at 35 V dc with 20 mA signal

• From a current source: 110 mA max at 20 V dc with 20 mA signal; 90 mA max at 35 V dc with 20 mA signal

Load & Accuracy

• Load resistance: 0 to 1 kΩ

• Transfer accuracy at 25°C (both outputs): Better than 20 μA

Fault Detection

• Line-fault detection (LFD) output: Transistor open collector output
