Overview

The IC697MEM717 is a CMOS expansion memory module for GE Fanuc Series 90-70, available in 64, 128, 256, and 512 KB versions, used to extend logic and data memory in select CPU and coprocessor modules.

Memory Features

• Capacity Options: 64 KB, 128 KB, 256 KB, 512 KB

• Purpose: Expands logic and data memory in IC697PCM711, CPU 771, or CPU 772 modules

• Installation: Daughterboard installed in the same slot as the host module, no tools required

Power and Retention

• Backup Battery: Lithium battery (IC697ACC701) maintains memory and calendar clock during power loss

• Battery Location: On baseboard housing

• Battery Shelf Life: 10 years at 20°C (68°F)

Reliability

• Error Checking:

• CPU performs continuous background error checks on logic program memory

• PCM checks storage memory on power cycle and resets

• Data Retention: Configurable to retain both programs and data during power loss
