Regulated Output and Redundant Power Architecture

The ABL4RSM24200 uses regulated switch mode conversion to provide a nominal 24 V DC output at 20 A. The output voltage is adjustable from 100% to 116% of nominal.

The power supply supports redundant parallel operation through an internal diode arrangement. Series connection is also specified for the output circuit.

Protection functions include automatic-reset short-circuit protection, overload protection, thermal protection, and overvoltage protection. The temporary output current capability reaches 1.5 x rated current for 5 seconds.

The status indication separates normal output voltage from overload, overtemperature, and overvoltage conditions through dedicated green and red LEDs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What input configurations does the ABL4RSM24200 support?
A: The unit accepts 120...230 V AC phase-to-phase, 120...230 V AC single-phase, or 300...370 V DC input.

Q: Can the ABL4RSM24200 operate in a redundant power configuration?
A: Yes. The specified output coupling supports redundant parallel operation using an internal diode, as well as series connection.

Q: What mounting arrangement is specified for this power supply?
A: The unit mounts vertically on either 35 x 15 mm or 35 x 7.5 mm symmetrical DIN rail.

Field Installation Guidelines

Install the power supply vertically on a compatible symmetrical DIN rail and maintain clearances required by the installation enclosure.

Verify the selected input terminals before energization because the unit provides separate connection arrangements for single-phase and phase-to-phase AC input.

Use the specified screw-terminal conductor ranges and tighten all terminals according to the applicable installation documentation.

Route AC input wiring separately from low-voltage DC signal wiring where practical to reduce conducted and radiated interference.

Connect the protective earth terminal according to the enclosure grounding scheme and applicable electrical installation standards.

For redundant parallel operation, verify the power-system topology and polarity before connecting the output conductors.

Do not bypass the specified short-circuit, overload, thermal, or overvoltage protection circuits during commissioning.

The product is discontinued, with discontinuation dated 31 Dec 2013 and end-of-service dated 25 Sept 2025. The supplied Schneider Electric documentation identifies ABL8RPM24200 as the recommended replacement.
