GE IS200GDDDG1ABA Gate Driver and Dynamic Discharge Board is part of the EX2000 series. 

Dynamic Discharge Control

• Function: Controls dynamic discharge circuitry

• Operation: Manages gating circuits for active IGBTs in A and B legs

• Purpose: Regulates activation and deactivation of IGBTs

Instrumentation

• Metrics processed: Output DC voltage, DC link voltage, shunt current (millivolt input), heat sink thermistor data

• Data transmission: Sent to LDCC processors for regulator use

Integration & Functionality

• Role: Consolidates isolation, control, and instrumentation functions

• Benefit: Streamlines EX2000 PWM exciter operation, improves efficiency and regulation

LED Indicators

• Bridge OK (DS100): Illuminates when no IGBT leg faults or overcurrent are detected

• IMOK (DS101): Lights when no bridge faults exist, unit is not reset, voltages are correct, and no discharge faults are present

• DD AUX POWER AVAILABLE (DS102): Indicates auxiliary power availability for dynamic discharge circuit (sourced from DC link via RDS connection)
