Overview

The ABB RET620 is a transformer protection and control relay with a local human-machine interface (LHMI) for efficient setting, control, and monitoring.

Local HMI

• Purpose: Enables local setting, monitoring, and control of the relay

• Components: Includes graphical display, navigation buttons, status LEDs, and communication port

Display

• Type: Graphical display

• Character Sizes: Supports two sizes depending on language

• Visibility: Number of visible characters and lines depends on selected size

LED Indicators

• Status LEDs: Ready, Start, and Trip above the display

• Programmable LEDs: 11 matrix-configurable LEDs

• Button LEDs: 16 push buttons, each with an associated LED

• Configuration: LEDs configurable using PCM600 software

Keypad Functions

• Navigation: Used to browse views and menus

• Command Control: Sends open/close commands to circuit breakers, contactors, or disconnectors

• Alarm Management: Acknowledge alarms and reset indications

• Mode Switching: Toggle between local and remote control

• Help Access: Push button support for on-device help messages
