Overview

MTL5045 is an MTL Eaton 4/20 mA Isolating Driver designed for precise signal isolation and reliable operation in hazardous and safe-area circuits.

• Location of load: Zone 0, IIC, T4–6 hazardous area (if certified); Div. 1, Group A hazardous location

Input & Output Specifications

• Safe-area input signal range: 4 to 20 mA

• Under/over range: 0 to 24 mA

• Hazardous-area output maximum load resistance: 800 Ω (16 V at 20 mA)

• Output resistance: >2 MΩ

• Input voltage drop: <4 V at 20 mA

• Input/output circuit ripple: <40 µA peak-to-peak

• Transfer accuracy at 20°C: Better than 20 µA

• Temperature drift: <1 µA/°C

• Response time: Settles to within 10% of final value in 250 µs

• Supply voltage: 20 to 35 V dc

• Maximum current consumption: 50 mA at 24 V, 60 mA at 20 V, 40 mA at 35 V
