Overview

5503-279 is a High Density Versatile Input Module developed by Woodward.

Input Configuration

• Analog Inputs: 34 channels total.

• 4–20 mA / Thermocouple: 24 channels configurable for current or thermocouple inputs.

• 4–20 mA / RTD: 10 channels configurable for current or RTD inputs.

• Cold Junction Inputs: 2 channels for thermocouples.

Interface & Communication

• Bus Interface: VME bus for CPU connectivity.

• Reliability: Ensures stable data exchange with CPU board.

Isolation & Safety

• First Group Isolation: First 12 thermocouple/4–20 mA inputs isolated as a group.

• Second Group Isolation: Next 12 thermocouple inputs and first 4 RTD/4–20 mA inputs isolated separately.

• Noise Prevention: Reduces interference between input groups for accurate measurements.

Indicators & Miscellaneous

• LEDs: 2 status LEDs.

• Potentiometers: None.

• Failure Indication: 13 LED flashes indicate dual port RAM error.
