Further, it has been estimated that electricity demand will constitute 50% of the overall demand by 2050 by the IEA.

Thus, with the closing in Q1 2026, subject to approvals, Netcontrol's offerings will be included within ABB's Distribution Solutions business, expanding even further through ABB's wide-reaching channels across the globe.
