Product Overview

NTAC-01 is a pulse encoder interface module for ABB systems.

Terminal Connections

• X2:1: Can function as the -V terminal

• SH and PE: Connected to module ground

Speed Calculation Modes

• A.BDIR: Ch A positive edge calculates speed; Ch B is direction signal

• A: Both positive and negative edges of Ch A calculate speed; Ch B unused

• A..BDIR: Both edges of Ch A calculate speed; Ch B is direction signal

• A.B°: All edges of the signal are used to calculate speed

Encoder Fault Handling

• WARNING: Displays a warning on the control panel

• FAULT: Displays fault and stops ACS600 motor operation

• Condition: Triggered when communication is lost between the encoder and NTAC module or between ACS600 and NTAC module

Encoder Delay

• Definition: Delay time from communication loss to ACS600 action

• Range: 0 to 50000 ms

• Action: Defined by the Encoder Fault parameter (50.3)
