Overview

The ICS Triplex T8451 is a 40-channel 24 VDC Digital Output Module designed for reliable field device control with built-in diagnostics.

Functionality

• Device Interface: Connects to 40 field devices

• Failure Detection: Tests for stuck on/off failures

• Line Monitoring: Detects open and short circuit failures in field wiring and loads

• Over-current Protection: Automatic per channel, no fuses required

• Sequence of Events (SOE): On-board reporting with 1 ms resolution triggered by output state changes

Indicator States

• Off: Output is Off

• Green: Output is On

• Green – Flashing: No load, output open circuit

• Red: Field short circuit, over-current protection triggered, channel latched off

• Red – Flashing: Channel fault or no field supply voltage
