Overview

SDCS-PIN-205B is an ABB Power Driver Board designed for converters rated from 100 A to 1000 A at 500 V, including use in 3-phase field supply converters (DCF series).

Functional Components

• Firing Pulse Circuits: With pulse transformers for thyristor control

• Current Measurement: Armature current sensing with scaling via burden resistors

• Snubber Circuit: RC circuits and RCD network for thyristor protection

• Voltage Monitoring: High-ohmic AC and DC voltage measurement

• Protection Features:

• Overvoltage protection via fuses

• Zero current detection

• Hardware voltage type coding

• Temperature Interface: Supports heat sink temperature monitoring via PTC sensor
